    Red Carpet Thursdays Girls Night Out

    Survive the Chicago winter blues at “Red Carpet Thursdays,” a series of Girls Night Out events where you’ll feel like royalty and be given the VIP treatment you deserve!
     
    This is a great opportunity for you to connect with others by inviting them to join you. Bring your Bunko group, book club, small group ladies from church, moms group, invite your neighbors to come out of their winter hibernation and enjoy a few hours of FREE indoor fun!
     
    Our friendly staff will roll out the red carpet for you and your guests welcoming you to enjoy a few hours of retail therapy along with complimentary refreshments and a brief presentation given by a local expert on topics such as: personal styling, organization, interior design, and green cleaning.
     
    Registration for Red Carpet Thursday is appreciated but not necessary. However, if you know you’re coming and bringing a group, it will help us be prepared with seating and refreshments. Register in the store at 20887 S. LaGrange Road, Frankfort, IL or by calling 815-464-2668. Walk-ins are definitely welcome!!
     
    Plan on coming to one or ALL of these free events.
     
    This series will take place on Thursdays at 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:
     
    January 11 – How to Accessorize Outfits for Winter with special guest Personal Stylist for Baby Boomer Divas Maureen Kocsis. Maureen is the creativity behind all of our clothing mannequin displays. She is available most Fridays at Evilena’s for FREE consultations to help you find the perfect outfit.     January 25 – How to Jump Start Your Organized Life with professional organizer Emily Smith, owner and creator of http://simplifywithsmith.com/. Emily will do a brief presentation with FREE tips and tricks from the pros with practical steps to really get you going on your organizational journey. Take her suggestions and run with them, or hire Emily to come and do it with you.
     
    February 8 – Tips on How to Design a Vignette. Do you LOVE the feeling you get when you walk into Evilena’s Red Dresser? That’s largely due to the creative work of our lead designer, Denise Lough, owner and founder of http://www.theroomdesigner.com/. In this brief presentation, Denise will let you in on her professional secrets to designing a vignette. Then you can put these practical tips into play in your own home. Denise is also available to come to your home or office for a professional design consultation for a reasonable fee. Check out her website listed above.
     
    February 22 – How to Switch to Green Cleaning with Norwex. Join expert Norwex consultant Tracey Adams for this fun brief demonstration and tips for how to clean your home without harmful chemicals for you, your children, your pets and the environment.     Everyone is creative! Yes, that’s right, EVERYONE IS CREATIVE! The author of The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron, and workshop facilitator and art therapist, Renee Klyczek Nordstrom, believe we are all born to be creative. The Artist’s Way is a guided process to uncover, foster, and maintain creativity for everyone! This 8-week workshop helps participants to connect with their inner creative spirit in a safe and respectful environment. It is an engaging process of inspirational readings, discussions, and exercises. If you’ve never accessed your creative spirit, or if you’re a seasoned creative, the journey along the Artists’ Way will enrich your life. This series is open to new and returning students. Join facilitator Renee Klyczek Nordstrom for a spirited journey into your creative landscape.

    An artist and art therapist, Klyczek Nordstrom has been a practicing artist for over 30 years and promotes talk therapy and creative expression as methods for healing, empowerment and life enhancement. As a talk therapist and art therapist she works with individuals and groups in a residential treatment facility and private practice. She also works among a community of artists at Union Street Gallery in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Her extensive teaching experience includes adjunct faculty with Adler University, art classes, The Artist’s Way, and creative process workshops.
